In 2001, while in residency at Vermont Studio Center, I met Korean-American painter Han Cashion. Han was so moved by some of my poetry that she created paintings after hearing me read. She documented two paintings for me and sent me the photographs, along with her original painting, "Bombs Over the Prayers," which now hangs in my home and is the cover art for my book, Home Front.
